Birthday Celebrations!

Isla's birthday yesterday started out with a full fledged celebration before daddy headed off to work (the video was posted on yesterday's blog). We decorated the kitchen with balloons, banners, stickers, and fun twirly decorations that hung down from the ceiling.  Jimmy decided to give Isla a gift he had made for her that morning, a pink doll bunk bed, and let's just say she was thrilled! She immediately put bunny in it and was nothing but smiles as she played! We knew then that the day was going to be a great one! After that we dropped Mackenzie off at school and headed to the Children's Museum with one of Isla's buddies, Camilla, to further celebrate her day! The girls had an absolute blast and they seemed to go from one thing to the other with pure excitement. Afterwards we headed to her favorite restaurant (Chick-fil-a) where we dined on chicken nuggets and french fries! After picking up Mackenzie at school, we headed back home for some much needed naps. Mommy took the opportunity to sneak down the presents and set up for the next "party". Daddy came home a little early so he could get in some good time with the birthday girl (he had to teach a class that night so was only able to be home for a little over an hour). We opened presents, dinned on her favorite food of pizza, and ate a delicious birthday cake that big sister helped to make! The day ended with one happy two year old!
