A New Years Gift...Crawling!!!

Mackenzie has been so close to crawling for a couple weeks now, and today was the day! We got Zie a dinosaur that shoots out balls (a toy they say helps baby's crawl) for Christmas, and she loved it from day one! This morning I set out the toy and patiently watched. Much to my surprise she immediately started crawling over to it! Jimmy and I were lucky enough to get it on video the second time around! YAY, Mackenzie! Let the baby proofing begin!

Go, Kenzie, Go!

A Ball Christmas

Mackenzie is one lucky girl because she didn't have just one but THREE Christmases! We traveled from Philadelphia down to Blacksburg to celebrate the holidays with the Ball family. It truly felt like Christmas day all over again! Mackenzie had a blast opening up her presents, interacting with cousin B, playing with Uncle Kevin, and giving lot's of snuggles and love to her MomMom and PopPop! Unfortunately Mackenzie came down with a bad cold, but we learned quickly that nothing gets this little girl down! She still managed to smile, play, try to crawl, and give little love shouts to her favorite cousin (we had to keep them apart due to Zie being sick so she screamed across the room at B instead!). While the girls napped, us adults enjoyed playing "Words with Friends" on our new ipads (thanks Mom and Dad), had shuffle board tournaments, made multiple bloody mary's, helped Dad create his own beer (a gift from us kids), and just had an all out good time! Once again, we were reminded of how amazing our family is and how Mackenzie's presence makes the holiday season even merrier!

On our way to MomMom & PopPop's! (and 7 hours later and she still had a smile on her face!)

A Wolfe Christmas

Christmas #2, was spent at Nana & PopPop Wolfe's! We had such a great time visiting with Jimmy's family, especially Zie's Aunt Jenna & Uncle Nick from California! Zie had only met them once before (at a month old) so it was exciting and heart warming to see them reconnect! We had an intimate Christmas Eve dinner, followed by a morning of opening up presents! Christmas day was an "open house" where family and friends stopped in for a visit. The pure joy on Kenzie's face this holiday season is a memory we will never forget!

Hugs for Aunt Jenna!

7 months!

We can't believe Mackenzie Amelia is 7 months old! Where does the time go?! Zie turned 7 months on Sunday, and we celebrated by having our very own Wolfe Christmas! We will be visiting family all week and really wanted to have our own special Christmas as a family. We were excited to start new traditions as well as keep some of the old! Mackenzie loved opening up her presents and was so excited with each gift.

Kenzie continues to grow in leaps and bounds and is REALLY wanting to be mobile. We think crawling is in her very near future! She has also been practicing some baby sign language and just picked up her first sign...milk!  Happy 7 months to our Sweet Pea!

She's up!
Woaaaaaaah!
And she's down!

Giggles for Lupa

What get's Mackenzie hysterically laughing? A dog and a sock! With all the trouble Lupa has been getting into lately, I can't help but laugh when the camera turns to her. It  looks like she is saying "I swear Mom, I am not doing anything!". Sorry about the messy room, we were in the middle of packing for Uncle Kev's!

Cute Kenzie Moments

Mackenzie now gets in the crawling position and rocks herself back and forth! It's only a matter of time before this little one is on the move!

Kenzie is my little crib peeker! She likes to give a little peek to see what is going on outside of her crib world!

Santa Baby!

Tonight was a big night for Miss Mackenzie...she met SANTA! He came all the way down from the North Pole just to meet her! Much to our surprise Santa was on break so we entertained ourselves in the mall photo booth! Kenzie was incredibly tired by the time Santa arrived, but once Mommy started singing her favorite song "The Wheels on the Bus" (yes, I sang and did the hand motions in the middle of the crowded mall!), we got a sweet little smile out of her! Santa told us she was definitely on the nice list, and we couldn't agree more!

Temper Tantrums

We have been dealing with temper tantrums and a MAJOR one occurred yesterday! No, we are not talking about Mackenzie, but our other four legged baby, Lupa! I videotaped the damage so I could show Jimmy when he got home from work. This is just a short clip of the damage (I spared you all the nice little presents she left on the living room rug!). This is just a reminder that she needs some extra TLC too, cause she is obviously feeling a bit left out! (Side note: Notice the "calming" music playing in the background. I guess it didn't work!).

6 month photos!

With all the excitement surrounding Mackenzie's cousin's first birthday, Thanksgiving, and Daddy's 10 year high school reunion, I haven't gotten a chance to post her 6 month photos! Mackenzie has been in our lives for a 1/2 of a year now, and what a wonderful half way mark it has been! She is such an active little girl, who wants to explore everything and anything around her! Her newest love is remote controls and cell phones! She is getting stronger and stronger with each passing day and is showing signs of wanting to crawl! We are still a ways a way, but it is so neat watching her grow and develop the way she is. Happy 6 months baby girl!

Thank you for the pictures Aunt Kristin!

Dear Bellamy,

Dear Bellamy,

Happy 1st Birthday, my beautiful niece! We are overcome with so many emotions as we celebrate your first year of life. We were over the moon the moment we knew your mommy was pregnant, and over joyed the moment we welcomed you into this great big world! Here we are today celebrating not only your first year of life but the true miracle that you are. You have brought us closer together as a family, closer to God, to friends, and even to perfect strangers. In your first year of life you have shown us just how deep love can go, how strong the littlest bodies can be, how a simple smile can ease the pain, and that the power of prayer can achieve anything. You may not remember your first year of life, but I will never forget it, it was the year I witnessed a miracle, it was the year we were blessed with you.

Happy Birthday, Bellamy Grace!

Love,

Aunt/Godmother Kelly

First Timer

This past week has been a week of firsts! It was Mackenzie's first Halloween, first time feeling grass and leaves, first time rolling from her belly to her back (she now rolls both ways, yay!), and the first time she has been able to sit on her own! She is still a bit wobbly, but she is definitely getting the hang of it! Mommy also experienced something new this week. For the first time, I saw my sweet little girl as a maturing baby and not a small infant. I must admit I shed a tear when I came to this realization. She is growing in leaps and bounds, and we have to remind ourselves to take in each day because they go by so quickly. We are truly blessed with one special little girl!
