1 month old, Father's Day, Grandparents Visit!

Wow, what a busy but wonderful weekend! Our sweet little girl turned 1 month old on Saturday, Nana & PopPop came to visit, and today we are celebrating Jimmy's 1st Father's Day! It has been one amazing first month with Mackenzie! We certainly are enjoying watching her grow and develop. Mackenzie has also been smiling up a storm! At first we thought they were gas smiles, but starting June 12th I knew she was smiling out of love. Her eyes light up and she starts grinning from ear to ear with the cutest little dimple appearing on her right cheek. She loves to interact with you, study your face, and loves when you talk silly to her! We haven't caught her smile on camera yet, but once we do we will share with all. There is something magical about a smiling baby! Happy 1 month Birthday Mackenzie Amelia and Happy 1st Father's Day Jimmy! :-)

Mommy AND Daddy moments!

We have Mommy and Daddy moments 24/7, but there are a couple that really stand out above the rest!

Daddy Moment: Mackenzie woke up for her 1:00am feeding, so I stumble out of bed and took her into the nursery so we wouldn't disrupt Daddy as he slept. As I was burping her, we tip-toed back into the bedroom. When I looked over at sleeping Jimmy he was laying on his back patting his chest in a burping motion. I woke him up and asked what he was doing. While he was still "burping" his own chest, he looked down, and simple said "I don't know" and drifted back to sleep!

Mommy Moment: That same morning (now her 5:00am feeding), I had my own burping experience. After I was done feeding Mackenzie, I began burping her. She proceeded to lift up her head (strong girl!), look at me, and then projectile vomit straight in my face. Thank goodness my mouth was closed! I grabbed a burp cloth, wiped off my face, and continued on!

We wouldn't trade these silly moments for anything!

Looking pretty in my dress!

Shortt Visit & Photo Shoot!

What a great weekend and visit from the Shortt family! Mackenzie was so excited to meet her Uncle Matt and see her Aunt Kristin and Cousin Bellamy again! The weekend was spent swapping baby stories and tips, lounging around in our PJ's, cuddling with our babies, and of course a newborn photo shoot for Mackenzie! Aunt Kristin took tons of great pictures of our sweet pea! We can't thank her enough for all of the time and energy she put into capturing memories that will last a lifetime! She definitely knows how to work the camera...and so does Mackenzie! :-) For more beautiful images click on the following link: Mackenzie's Newborn Pictures!

First 2 Weeks!

Mackenzie's first two weeks of life have been great! Jimmy and I are learning everyday and loving every minute! Mackenzie had her 2 week check-up on Wednesday and is now weighing in at 7 lbs. 6 oz. 20 inches long. She is eating and sleeping well and giving Mommy and Daddy a solid 4-5 hour stretch of sleep at night! Jim has gone back to work and I am getting into the daytime Mackenzie groove. She had a nice visit yesterday from Jimmy's friend Justin and is looking forward to seeing her Aunt Kristin, Uncle Matt, and Cousin Bellamy this weekend! She will also be getting a visit from her Mommom and Poppop this coming week! What a lucky little girl! We have received so much love and support from family and friends these past two weeks, and we can't thank everyone enough! Our little Wolfe family is certainly blessed!
