21 Months & 5 Months

Mackenzie Amelia- 21 months

Mackenzie has been such a little ham now that she is communicating much easier these days! She is loving her new vocabulary skills and has added the best word in Mommy's opinion...the word "yes"! After hearing a lot of "no", a "yes" sounds like heaven! Her new favorite phrase is "Oh, what happened?" and she says it every chance she gets. We are also starting to get a taste of all the wonderful activities out there for toddlers (and babies too!). Mackenzie is now enrolled in a tiny tots gym class where she gets to run, jump, dance, sing, and best of all play! Mackenzie has always been on the early side with her gross motor skills and has enough energy to light a small town, so this is just perfect for her. She runs right into the gym and from there she is off! A part of the class is free time but the majority of it is instructed play which is the best! She has to follow directions and is now doing physical activities that challenge her. Its so neat watching her go through the process of learning a new skill and then mastering it. We have also started Mother Goose story time at the library which has been another great activity. We read books, sing, and recite nursery rhymes. It unbelievable that Zie will be 2 years old in only 3 months! WHERE IS THE TIME GOING?!!!

Isla Marie- 5 months

Isla has transitioned from a sleepy little newborn to a full of life baby! She loves being active by kicking her feet and waiving her hands at anything you put in front of her. She has found those cute little feet of hers and is now rolling over from belly to back! She likes tagging along to big sister's gym class as she loves listening to the fun music and watching all the kiddies run around! She also enjoys Mother Goose time at the library as its geared towards her age group as well.  She loves grabbing your face, playing with your hands, and of course is still a little cuddlebug! She thinks Zie is hysterical especially when she is playing with the dog or walking down the stairs (I have no idea why this cracks her up!). She is sleeping pretty well at night, only waking up once to eat. She is a happy, sweet, mellow, and of course smiley little girl!  Happy 5 months of life, Isla Marie!
