A Hospital Hello!

It looks like we will be meeting our little one sooner rather than later seeing that I am writing this from a hospital bed! My doctors decided it be best to begin the induction process and had us check in to the hospital last night. With Isla's arrhythmia, they believe at this point it would be best to monitor her heart outside the womb. They still feel confident that all will be well and since she is 38 weeks and 5 days along they think it's a good time for her to come. Late last night we scrambled our bags together, quickly picked up the house, and made child care arrangements that consisted of calling over a friend to watch Zie as my mom took the 3.5 hour dark and rainy drive to get here. The first steps of the induction were taken last night and we were given a full 6-8 hours of rest time. I slept like a rock (they gave me a little something to help) and Jimmy slept well too. Our good nights rest is also due to the fact that sweet Mackenzie is in the absolute best of hands! Simply knowing that you child is being well taken care of and loved, makes things so much easier on both Mommy and Daddy. Thank you Mom for making that not so easy drive on a dimes notice! Our next step begins at 7 AM and from there we will be off and running! Our family of three will soon become FOUR and we already feel absolutely blessed! Keep us in your prayers and we will keep you posted!
