The Nursery!

Jimmy and I have been hard at work getting the nursery ready for our little girls arrival! We have been putting numerous things together, washing clothes and sheets, and decorating, decorating, decorating! Here is a sneak peak at our little ones room! We blocked out the name in the monogram above her crib, sorry! Just 7 more weeks of it being hush-hush! :-)

Pennsylvania Shower!

Another wonderful weekend was spent celebrating our little girl! The Pennsylvania baby shower, held on March 12, 2011, was filled with amazing family and friends! Once again, I was overwhelmed by the generosity of so many amazing women! The shower was held at Jimmy's parent's house in Norristown, PA. The house was decorated with beautiful pink and white flowers, glass baby bottles that served as vases, an amazing table runner and banner, an embroidered welcome Baby Wolfe Hokie bird flag, a beautiful baby carriage cake, and very yummy food! It was so nice to visit with so many family and friends that we haven't seen in quite awhile! We all certainly missed the sisters, Kristin and Jenna, who could not be there, but were there in spirit. We felt their love all the way from Virginia and California. A big thank you to Pat, Mom, and Kristin for all of their hard work in putting on such an amazing event! Baby Wolfe and I felt very loved that day!

Virginia Baby Shower!

On March 5th we had our first baby shower at my parents house in Blacksburg, VA! What a wonderful weekend filled with so many amazing women in my life (and soon-to-be Baby Wolfe's life)! The generosity of family and friends was overwhelming! The shower was beautifully decorated with a hand made banner by my sister, hand made garden flag by my mother, clothes lines full of adorable baby clothes, an amazing cake, the cutest Hershey bar favors, and of course very yummy food! I can't thank my mom and sister enough for all the hard work that went into hosting such a wonderful event! Mommy Wolfe and Baby Wolfe feel so lucky to be surrounded by so many supportive women! We are looking forward to the next "shower of love" in Pennsylvania!

The "other" baby!

The puggle has 12 more weeks of being the baby and she is soaking up every second of it! It's only a matter of time before we find her sleeping in the pack and play!

Hello 3rd Trimester!

I have officially entered into the third and final trimester!!! It won't be long until baby Wolfe makes her grand entrance! Our 28 week appointment went great! Baby's heartbeat is nice and strong and my weight and measurements are right on. I passed the gestational diabetes test which was a huge relief, but found out that I am anemic (low iron). My doctor gave me a prescription and will be watching my iron levels from here on out; all in all nothing to be overly concerned about. We will now be seeing our doctor every 3 weeks instead of 4 which makes things feel even closer! Baby Wolfe has been very active in Mommy's tummy and is definitely growing bigger and bigger everyday! We can't wait to meet our little girl!

27 weeks and growing!

Mommy Moment- Part 2

Oh did I have a mommy moment today...an embarrassing one at that! I have read in several books and on different websites how pregnant women can be quite gassy during pregnancy. I'm sure Jimmy would say that I have adopted this pregnancy symptom, but I really didn't feel like it had affected me the way other women had described....until today. I was in a co-workers office chatting about business and when the conversation ended, I simply turned to walk out of the room, and that's when it happened! A loud and startling noise came from my backside! I could feel my face turning red and thoughts started racing through my head..."Did I actually just fart?", "Oh my gosh I can't believe I just farted.", "How can that happen without any warning?", "Oh lord, please tell me she didn't hear what I just heard." But all I could squeak out was "Oops!" Talk about embarrising! I bet little Miss Wolfe got a nice chuckle out of that one :-)

Mommy Moments

I never truly understood pregnancy cravings until I was actually pregnant! What a strange little thing they are! I always thought people craved a certain food, for example chicken fingers or steak. Little did I know it's more about the combination of foods that you crave. The first craving came at breakfast when I ordered an egg and cheese bagel topped with coleslaw and thousand island dressing. I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread, but when I received odd stares from coworkers I began to think that maybe it was just a Kelly thing. My next craving came at dinner. I absolutely had to have crab dip, a southwest salad, pickles (had to be the spear kind), and it all needed to be washed down with several glasses of milk. Needless to say my tummy did not feel too good afterward, but man was it good! I can't wait to see what my next craving will bring!

Another Mommy moment came when I received an email with the subject title saying "Purrr-fect Pump". I opened the email quickly, excited to see what kind of breast pump they were going to say was so perfect! Much to my surprise I did not see a picture of a milk producing machine, but instead a leopard print high heal shoe. This was the moment I realized I was now thinking like a Mom. The email was sent from a shoe store and the purrr-fect pump had nothing to do with my breasts!
