2014 Christmas Celebrations!

We spent a wonderful 3 days down in Blacksburg celebrating Christmas! We shopped, played games, went to a beautiful Christmas Eve mass, celebrated with the Fiorda's, ate a ton of food, drank some yummy holiday drinks, watched movies, and basked in the excitement of the holiday season! Once again everyone was incredibly generous with their gifts to us all and we are so appreciative of the love and warmth that was given during our stay (and everyday). Christmas has always been such a special time for me and I feel beyond blessed that our children get to experience the same strong family traditions that I had when I was there age. What a beautiful time for us all!

On our way to Blacksburg!!!

The upstairs "bear" tree! One of my favorite trees!

Momma and Me out shopping on Christmas Eve!

When Kevin asks you to buy ALL the Purple Haze beer you can find...momma and sis deliver! Two stores and 10 cases for our West Virginia boy! (Side note: Wild and Wonderful West Virginia does not sell this brand of beer hence the "buy all" request).

Jimmy made everyone cutting boards for Christmas! He truly put his heart and soul into this project working early in the morning and late at night for months. He made a total of 8 boards and I am pretty sure they were a hit!
Santa came!!!!

Christmas morning!

Santa left presents under the upstairs tree! The downstairs tree was filled with family gifts.

Checking out their goodies from Santa!

Our three princesses (I love how Mackenzie is looking at Bell in this pic)!

PopPop surprised us all with a GIANT Santa!!!!

We moved Santa inside due to wind

Patting that jolly belly!

Family gift time downstairs!

Every year the grandchildren (and us big kids too) get special ornaments from PopPop and MomMom!

Showing each other their ornaments! Mackenzie got a duck, Isla got a bunny, and Beck and Bell got Minnie and Mickey!

Loving her ducky ornament!

Bell ran right up to me to show me her Minnie ornament!

How real men drink beer!

Movie time!

Christmas ended with a viewing of Frozen!

Our plans after Blacksburg were to return home to Fredericksburg where we were going to then celebrate with Jimmy's parents and sister and brother-in-law who were in from California. Unfortunately we were all hit with a bad stomach bug and were unable to get together. Before the bug got a hold of Jimmy, he was able to meet his family up in Northern Virginia for a quick lunch and to exchange gifts. We then face timed with his family a day or two later so they could see the girls open their presents. We of course were totally bummed that we couldn't all be together but getting to see each other virtually was the next best thing as we truly felt the love through the camera. Once again the generosity was overwhelming and we are so gratefully for all the love that we received. The pictures of course are limited due to the circumstances but I made sure to take pictures of the girls playing with all the goodies so Jimmy's family could see. This experience showed us that no matter how near or far, love travels!
Jimmy's lunch date with his family.
He was able to hand deliver their cutting boards!

Face Timing
Every year we all get lottery tickets in our stockings! Such a fun gift and sometimes we have winners!

Mackenzie seeing if she was a big winner!

Jimmy's turn! It turned out that I was the big winner of the family winning 9 more tickets and $2!
Playing with her new letters!

Having fun with their new calendar!

They love their farm animals!
