Mackenize Amelia- 20 Months

I never thought that someone could grow and develop so quickly in just a months time. Wow! We are seeing our 1 1/2 year old start to act more and more like a 2 year old. Her language abilities have gone through the roof and her problem solving skills are right there with them. She now identifies and says several colors (blue, green, red, black, yellow, purple, pink, and orange), can sing along to some of her favorite songs, repeats EVERYTHING you say (Mommy and Daddy need to be careful!), follows directions with ease and enthusiasm, and yes, has even mastered the temper tantrum from time to time! She can also string multiple words together (about 3-4) and her new favorite phase is "bad dog" (wonder where she got that from!). She has also learned how to turn her bed into a trampoline (scares Mommy to death!) and has never been known to turn down a tea party. We are excited to be starting her in a tiny tots gym class tomorrow and will also be venturing to our library's story time that takes place Monday mornings. Next on our list will be swim lessons! She is a little beam of sunshine and I am just so proud to call her mine!

Isla Marie- 4 Months

This little angel just gets sweeter and sweeter with each passing day. She is such a joy to be around and I swear has a pure love for life. I honestly feel like her motto is "Happy to be here, thanks for having me!". She loves all things that make noise and that can fit in her mouth. Right now her toys of choice are the same keys and elephant that Mackenzie loved at that age. It's so neat seeing the similarities of the girls but also their wonderful differences. She loves watching her big sis strut across the room, eating daddy's nose when they play airplane, and warm cuddles with mommy. She is getting stronger and stronger with her neck muscles and even enjoys tummy time because of this! She has some muscle to those chunky legs as she loves to stand and bounce. She is weighing in at 12 lbs. 12 oz (just below 50th percentile) and 23 1/2 inches (25th percentile). She is sleeping great with 3 naps during the day and and long 10-12 hour stretch at night. Every once and awhile she will wake up for a feeding, but I am certainly not complaining! Never in my wildest dreams did I think life could be filled with so much unconditional love and laughter. We are so blessed to be apart of this incredible journey.
