22 Months & 6 Months

Mackenzie Amelia- 22 Months

We are so looking forward to spring weather so Miss Zie can let loose outside! When we do have nice days she is loving going to the jungle gym and taking ducky for walks in his stroller (yes, ducky now has a stroller). I know I have said it a million times and I will probably say a million more, but her vocabulary is just splurging. She is starting to form mini sentences with one of them being,  "No Doggy, that's Gaga's" (Gaga is what she calls Jimmy, and she was yelling at Lupa for eating a chip that he dropped on the floor). She has taken on more responsibilities around the house and loves that she has "chores" to do!  Her two main jobs are to help with laundry and feed the dog (of course with assistance). She loves feeding the dog so much that we had to put a child proof lock on the pantry door to keep her out of the dog food. She was trying to feed the dog 24/7! She has gotten really good at it too. She brings us the bowl, scoops the food, dumps it into the bowl, and then walk it back to the dog's room all while saying "Here you go doggy". Her "help" with the laundry however is another story (picture below). She is still in love with her sister Isla, who she now cutely calls "Sissy". What an awesome little girl we have!  Happy 22, Zie!

Thanks for the great pictures Aunt Kristin!
Ducky now rides in style
Such a big girl

We don't call her "CraZie" for nothing!

playground fun!

Hugs for Maddie, her play date BFF
Mackenzie's idea of "helping" put away laundry. You turn your back for one second and ALL this happens!

Isla Marie- 6 Months

A half a year already? Really?!  Miss Isla is full of new tricks these days with her biggest one being sitting! She absolutely loves being upright and reaches and grabs everything in sight! Of course most of it ends up in her mouth which leads me to believe she is working on that first tooth. She has become much more active and vocal too. She has really found her voice and man does she love using it! She had her first taste of solid foods (rice) tonight and LOVED it! I have a feeling she is going to be a healthy eater!  She is now on day 6 of sleeping through the night and I am crossing my fingers and toes that it lasts! She is weighing in at 14 pounds 6 oz (25th percentile) and 25 inches (25th percentile). We also had her cardiologist appointment today where we learned a little more about her arrhythmia and leaky valve. The type of arrhythmia she has is called Premature Atrail Contraction (PAC) and it's occurring in the upper chamber. The doctor is confident that it is not effecting the functionality of her heart and believes she will grow out of it. It is somewhat common in the newborn phase. The leak she has is in her Mitral valve and is considered mild. The doctor wants to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get any bigger but is not overly concerned at this time. My theory is that she loves us so much that her hearts beats extra just for us ;-).  Isla brings so much joy and light into our lives and we are just so happy to be celebrating her 1/2 birthday! Happy 6, Smiley!

Thanks for the pictures Aunt Kristin!
