18 Months & 2 Months

Mackenzie Amelia- 18 months

I have heard parents say over and over again, how fast "time flies" when you have children. I never really grasped that concept until now. Mackenzie is now a year and a half old and all I can say is time is flying by! In such a short amount of time she has gone from an newborn, to a baby, to now a full of life little toddler. She is changing so quickly, that I have to remind myself to stop and take in all the beautiful innocence that surrounds me daily. She has become more imaginative with her play, more expressive with her likes and dislikes, and is more active then ever! She is picking up words left and right and still has a love for books, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and of course Ducky! With each passing day you see the love she has for her sister grow stronger and stronger which is truly an amazing site to witness. She wakes up in the morning asking for "baby" and repeatedly says "Hi, Isla" while she gently rubs her head. We could not be more proud or more in awe of this sweet, bright, and lively little girl.

Weight: 20 lbs. 9 oz (5th percentile)

Height: 30" (25th percentile)

Favorite Food: Chicken nuggets & yogurt (because there is a baby on the container!)

Favorite Toy: Ducky

Favorite Book: Where's Mickey?

Favorite Activity: Chasing Lupa, Reading, and kissing baby Isla

Fun Fact: Mackenzie has found a new love for swinging on the swing set! She wasn't to sure about them a couple months ago, but at her cousins house last week she became obsessed with swining! She loves it so much we literally had to tear her away from it after over an hour of straight swinging!

 

 

Isla Marie- 2 months

Again, time is flying by! Two months old already, really?! Miss Isla is doing incredibly well. She is growing like a weed and is still the most content peaceful little girl. She barely makes a peep and just loves to cuddle up next to you. She is smiling up a storm which we absolutely love. The minute she hears one of our voices the biggest grin falls upon her face and your heart can't help but melt! You can tell she gets a kick out of her big sister too who loves to to keep her company while she does tummy time. Miss Isla brings so much joy into this house, it truly is amazing. We feel much more complete as a family now that she is here and are just so proud of the two little beauties we are raising! Happy 2 months, Ladybug!

Favorite Activity: Smiling

Milestones: Smiles, can bear some weight on legs, starting to vocalize by cooing, holds head up for short amount of time.

Fun Fact: She has taken on the nickname of Smiley Isely (courtesy of Momma) as she literally never stops smiling!

 

 

 

 

We have been so busy these past few days that I have yet to take her 2 month picture. I will post it once we catch our breath! :-)
