A Ball & Wolfe Christmas

It is really hard to put into words how magical this holiday season was for our family of four! It was Isla's first Christmas, Mackenzie was old enough to sort of understand the whole Santa thing, and it was our first time hosting Jimmy's family at our house!

On the 22nd we journeyed down to Blacksburg to spend Christmas Day with the Ball/Fiorda side (a total of 19 of us including children). We played our annual Christmas game tournament, sipped on our new favorite drink Rum Chata, and of course opened what seemed like a million presents from our incredibly generous family. We went to dinner at the country club (yes all 19 of us) and enjoyed a beautiful Christmas day Mass. We passed around the babies giving each of them a ton of cuddle time while we watched the toddlers run from one toy to another! It was definitely a Christmas we will not forgot and we are already counting down the days until the next jolly season!

On the 27th we turned right around and had ourselves another Christmas celebration but this time with the Wolfe side! Jim and Pat came down from Pennsylvania with Jimmy's Grandma in tow, and Jenna & Nick came in from California. We treated the 27th as if it were Christmas Eve and dinned on steak and lobster (yum!). The next morning "Christmas Day" we opened what seemed like another million presents (again, super generous family), hung around in our pj's, and finished the night with a nice Hokie win! We ended the visit with a beautiful light show down at the town square and then stopped in at a local sports bar (yes we brought two babies to a bar) for a quick drink. It was another wonderful family celebration that I know our two beauties (and of course Mommy and Daddy) will never forget!

Santa came...again!

Aunt Jenna, Uncle Nick, & Mackenzie (Funny story, Mackenzie was saying what we though was "Hi Nick" every time she saw her Uncle Nick. We thought she was just being super friendly, but we came to find out that she actually thought his name was "Hinick". Must have been from hearing Mommy and Daddy saying hi to Nick when we video chat. Too funny! We also got one quite "Aunt Enna" out of her!)
